Last week Charlotte saw its first snow of the season, and also possibly the last?! I couldn’t believe it actually snowed! It was both strange and magical to see our home and plants covered in a blanket of white. That morning, we got all bundled up (Tucker too), and went outside to enjoy the scene around our neighborhood. I couldn’t stop snapping pictures of our snow-covered home. Though we live in a somewhat small neighborhood, it is bustling with children. Something about the snow brings our the child in everyone, but hearing their laughter echo around us was such a sweet sound. It made the snow day all the more fun!
Those who have long-time followed my blog, know my love for Bernardo Outerwear runs deep! You may recall the long black coat from this post, which is a longer version of the coat I’m wearing in the above photo. I have yet to find anything that compares to the quality and durability of Bernardo’s pieces for the price. They’re incredibly warm, yet lightweight! The slim-fit design of their “Primaloft” designs is extremely flattering too! Below I’ve linked this exact coat and have also included a handful of other colors available in this same style. Each 30%-50% off! This is something you will want to purchase now while it’s on sale; don’t be the fool next season wishing you had purchased this same coat for a fraction of the retail price! You can thank me later…
Luckily, most of our heavy-duty winter gear was at arms reach seeing as Charlotte (and much of the South) has been one big giant ice box the past few weeks. We rarely saw temperatures above freezing! I bought my Hunter boots years ago before a trip to Colorado (see more on that trip here, here, here and here). I ended up wearing them, or Sorel boots, that entire trip and they’re one of my most recommended items for winter. They’ll keep your feet warm and dry all day long.
