 I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you to the brand new format for Style Soufflé, as this has been a few months in the making. Since October, I’ve been working very closely with Tori Fletcher, of Harper Maven, to create a beautiful online destination that lies parallel to the growth of the Style Soufflé brand. So, to properly welcome you to the site, I thought I’d take a moment to share with you the motivation behind the blogs redesign as-well-as explain a few of its features that were specifically created with you in mind!

When I first launched Style Soufflé, just a short year and a half ago, I had no idea what I was really getting myself into nor the impact it would have on my future. While I knew I wanted to have fun and use Style Soufflé as platform to be creative, I didn’t go into this process with a clear manifesto. I was just a recent college graduate with a creative heart, love for fashion, and need for adventure.

Over the last eight months however, Style Soufflé has grown to become a brand that truly reflects me and everything I love.  It’s become less street style and more editorial, as if you were picking up your favorite glossy or coffee table read. My motivation has been to incorporate high-fashion elements into everyday outfits in a way that is both practical and functional. I want to transport each of you through each post, to become immediately drawn to the world that the outfits exists in. So, this redesign is the step in that direction.

So, what’s new?

When I started this redesign my main goal was to make it really easy for you to navigate and explore older content.

The category sections (Fashion, Beauty, Wedding, etc.) are now organized in a beautiful grid format that is easy to navigate. More specifically, if you hover over “Fashion” in the navigation bar you will find that all outfit posts have been organized by season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Holiday). Very cool, right?

On the “Travel” page you will find a large map with pink circles indicating a post related to the circles geographical placement. We are currently working on creating a 3D rotating globe (sphere), which I am very excited about.

Lastly, you will find that my “Shop” page has been broken down into two categories “Shop by Product” and “Shop by Instagram“. This is perhaps the most exciting change to take place, as I am now offering you an all new online shopping experience in which you can not only shop the items featured on my Instagram feed, but you can shop dozens of similar options at various price points by clicking on the item featured!  This revolutionary application is called Witlee, and has been adopted by a handful of bloggers, including Julia Engel and Liz Cherk. It even allows you to shop by popular hashtags!

I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Tori Fletcher at Harper Maven!  Re-designing my business, my baby, during the Holiday’s, and all while planning a wedding was a breeze all thanks to you! It’s bittersweet to see things come to an end, and I am definitely going to miss our daily chats! You have such a special gift, and I can’t thank you enough for caring for Style Soufflé as if it were your own!
