You may recall one of last weeks posts’ featuring this LBD, in which I professed my love for delicate lace details. In case you missed the post I’ve linked it, here.

The dress worn in today’s post offers a tasteful romantic flare while still being somewhat conservative. After all, it’s completely healthy to leave room for imagination.  With Spring around the corner here North Carolina, it’s perfect for warm afternoons and cool evenings, and not to mention perfect for a variety of occasions: graduation, bridal showers, garden parties, steeple events… you name it!  I fell in love with Self-Portrait’s Azaelea dress months ago, and when they released it in this beautiful blue color I couldn’t pass it up.

While I love the intricacy and cut of Self Portrait dresses, they can be a bit pricey however it’s certainly investment I deem worthy of making. They are made of quality fabric, which is evident in the weight of their pieces. That being said, they are somewhat heavy, but nothing too uncomforatble.  Too many time I’ve purchased an outfit for an event that I’ve regretfully been able to wear once or twice; however, I’ve worn this Self-Portrait dress to  one of my bridal showers, a Sweet Sixteen for my niece and to a family friends First Communion. Thus, it reassures my motto: purchase pieces that will get a lot of milage.

Self Portraits identifiable pieces are such a statement in themselves, so they don’t require high maintenance styling and accessories. A simple bag and summer sandal is all you will need. I paired mine with Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals (I wear them with EVERYTHING) and a beach bag I purchased while on vacation in Mexico.
