Hello friends! Can you believe tomorrow is Friday? Short weeks are the best! In lieu of New York Fashion Week, which kicked off yesterday, I was inspired to share another fall-ish outfit that I wore during my recent trip to Chicago. This culotte-cutout combination was perfect for Chicago’s transitional weather of warm afternoons and cooler evenings. Speaking of culottes, how fabulous are these bad boys? Everything from the color to the cut screams Fall 2015. While I grew to love them, it took a few days of trying them on before I was 100% sold. Maybe because I’m a shorty and instead of culottes they were more like pants on me, haha. I’m not joking when I say I looked like Larry Fine on The Three Stooges. I should have Picstiched a side-by-side comparison captioned, Who Wore it Better?! Needless to say, I had them altered.
If you are ever visiting Chicago make sure to have a picnic along the steps of Shedd Aquarium! The city skyline is breathtaking, especially around sunset. The photos above don’t do it justice! It sounds cliché but the sound of the waves breaking along the port, the call of the seagulls, and sailboats all against the cities backdrop made for the most serene and relaxing afternoon! In fact, we were so caught up in the moment that it put us behind schedule, which was okay to!
I hope you all have a fabulous week, and know that I appreciate you stopping by! Also, this weekend I am partnering with Belk for the launch of a new collection, and will be sharing details tomorrow on Style Souffle!
