Who has Fall fever? I’ll admit I may be coming down with it. The weather in North Carolina has been so un-predicated lately that it’s hard to believe it’s August. Mother Nature can’t make up her mind… one minute you could cook an egg on the side walk and the next your heading back inside to grab a light coat. It has been those oddly cool mornings that have me craving Fall (well… and the preview of cute Fall collections may also be to blame #duh).
For this look I decided to keep it casual and cool by pairing contrasting shades of blue. I love how the tops light wash pops against the dark linen shorts. Typically, I try to stay away from linen (it looks slouchy & is quick to wrinkle), however, the embroidered detail made these shorts too unique to pass up. As for the accessories… well, everyone knows gold and navy go together like jam on toast! So, to add some flavor I choose gold accessories to pull everything together :).
