Second to eyelet, come summer you can almost always find me wearing gingham. It has this picnic in the park, sun kissed skin and shorter hem line vibe that reminds me of all the things I love about summer. I purchased this dress from Gal Meets Glam Collection that debuted last month. The collection features limited-edition pieces, with new dresses launching each month. Luckily this beautiful dress (the Carly) is still available and has been restocked in all sizes at Nordstrom. It’s such a darling, well-made dress for the price point.
Gingham has this casual elegance that is relaxed, yet feminine. It works so well with this dress. The fluttering cap sleeves and midi-length balance the cinched waistline and fitted shape really well – the perfect combination of sexy and sweet! Those who closely follow my blog know how often I wear these nude pumps! It’s obvious that wearing a pair of heels will easily add height to a shorter frame however, the color of the heels can make a big difference. Skin-colored heels often blend in with your natural coloring and make legs appear to be longer! You can also do a great job at combining shorter hem lines with nude heels for an extra boost in height! A comfortable, well-made neutral shoes is a closet staple and something I feel every lady should have in their closet. It’s certainly worth investing in! This weekend we are headed to Montage Palmetto Bluff for little long weekend escape. It goes without saying that the past month has been one of the hardest, so a little change of scenery will be nice. I’ve visited Palmetto Bluff once before, but only for a short days visit with a girlfriend. Since then I have always wanted to go back and experience life on the bluff with Justin.
