I’m completely and utterly in love with Charleston. Fortunately, the charming city is only a few hours drive from Charlotte, so Justin and I visit every opportunity we get.  We have a tradition of trying out new accommodations, as it’s all a part of the experience, and this past weekend we stayed at Charleston Place for the first time. It’s a beautiful property that is located in the heart of the historical district, and is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and other must see attractions.

While I love Charleston with every ounce of me, it’s particularly hot and humid this time of year. So, I would suggest packing something cool and lightweight if you have upcoming plans to visit this southern city.  Our first evening there we dinned at Zero George, a boutique hotel located near the city’s main entrance.  I decided to wear this adorable floral frock that I purchased at LUNA Boutique (@shopluna) earlier that week.  Actually, there is a LUNA Boutique on Kings Street in Charleston, and I highly recommend you pay them a visit if you’re in town.

Charleston is best known for it’s colorful architecture and historically preserved homes, and upon seeing the pinks and oranges in this dress I was immediately taken to Rainbow Row along the Charleston Harbor (also a must see). As for accessories, I chose a pair of fuchsia earrings to accent the dresses floral print.  I also decided upon my Oh-So-Favorite! nude pumps.  I’m aware that these are an investment, but trust and believe that they are worth every penny.  It comes without saying that when it’s 99°F with 80% humidity that a pony tail is a must (and, yes, despite these temperatures I would live there in a heartbeat!).

Next weekend I am blessed to be heading there once again for one of the biggest collaborations of my career. Please stay tuned as I take you (literally) on a tour around my all time favorite city!
