Between now and the calendar’s flip to 2015, there’s what’s left of Hanukkah, twelve days of Christmas, and a handful of Eves sprinkled in for good measure. Add shopping, parties, potlucks, recitals and family visits to the mix, and in short: this is the time of year we live for.
The holiday season is the perfect time to experiment with new styles and patterns likes: sequins, plaid, leopard, stripes, and everyone’s favorite “the” Christmas sweater! Speaking of which, this year I decided to liven things up with this adorable camel sweater from ASOS! It’s Oh So Adorable, and the perfect contrast against this ASOS plaid skirt!
Cozy and traditional, plaid is a holiday season staple! And, when considering what to pair with the sweater a tartan plaid skirt is the first thing that came to mind! This Jovonna skirt from ASOS couldn’t be more perfect. The subtle notes of red and green woven throughout the skirt match the top perfectly! This skirt is so versatile and would pair lovely with a cream sweater and matching cream coat, too! I encourage you to size up, because it runs a bit small!
To keep things minimal, I accessorized the outfit with my gold Tory Burch crossbody and nude Stuart Wietzman pumps. Ladies, if you are thinking of investing in something special for yourself this season, I highly recommend you consider these nude pumps. They pair well with everything, and are a closet staple of mine! Also, if you are vertically challenged like me (I’m 5’3”), you will appreciate the optical illusion that they create!
I hope you are all making a dent in your holiday season! There are few things I have yet to purchase, but I made sure to get most of my shopping done early so that I could enjoy the holiday stress free :).
