This season nothing says casual chic like a pair of leg-lengthening, high-waisted flares.  After laying eye’s on this pair from Anthropologie, I immediately feel in love with the wide hem, and gold details. If you’re on the fence about investing in the trend, I recommend this pair from Nordstrom.

The Chanel jacket is undeniably one of fashion’s chicest and most enduring pieces. As Karl Lagerfeld has said, “Some things never go out of style in the world of fashion: jeans, the white shirt, and the Chanel jacket.” Taking heed to his advice, I decided to dress up my flared denim with this Chanel inspired jacket, which is a custom piece from years back.  I’ve always been partial to good jacket; it is undoubtably the turn-to piece in my wardrobe when I want to look casually or professionally polished. I’ve found a similar, and affordable one, from Boston Proper that comes in a variety of beautiful colors like Rose Gold (Heartthrob, or crimson, is on my holiday wish-list!).

To keep things timeless and classic, I chose vintage pearls (thanks mom!), and my Chanel quilted bag. I’ve tagged similar, reasonably priced, options for you below.

This look was photographed at the beautifully manicured grounds of the Duke Mansion, where we will be getting married come June 2016!  There’s a sense of nostalgia with each visit, and I always leave feeling so inspired. If you missed my post on how we chose this as our wedding venue you can read all about it, here.

xx, Taylor-Rae
