I’ve always been a spring & summer kind of girl, but the older I get the more I’m ‘falling’ in love with autumn. Pun intended. And, as the temperature continues to drop I am growing more excited to break out my fall wardrobe. This season I am investing in quality sweaters like this high-low beauty form Tibi. I love the petite collar, and the inner neutralist in me is dying over its soft cream shade!

As for my jeans, well… If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with these Madewell ripped jeans. But here’s the thing, they are no longer available.  Luckily, I have found a cheaper alternative: ‘Rockstud Skinny Jeans‘ form Old Navy ((yeeeessss)).  While these jeans don’t come distressed you can certainly improvise. I’ve included steps below:

  1. Wearing the jeans, make small (pea size) snips where you want the rips to be.
  2. Take the jeans off and make a full cuts where you marked (I would leave an inch between the edge of the seem and the edge of the cut).
  3. Cut off a few inches at the bottom, so that they appear cropped.
  4. Throw them in the washer and dry at least once for frayed perfection.

I hope you all have had a great week ((sunshine has made mine infinitely better)).  Tonight I am hosting the Belk® ‘Girls’ Night Out’ event from 6-8:30pm at South Park Mall in Charlotte. If you’re in the area, I would love for you to join me for a great night of shopping, mingling, music, and 20% off! I hope you can join me :).
