Yep, it’s September and I am wearing white!  The whole “no wearing white after Labor Day” rule is pretty much a thing of the past.  These days, breaking tradition is infinitely more trendy than looking like you have a fashion rule book in your back pocket.  And, with winter whites ruling the runway you’d be pressed to find someone who really abides by the dated notion.

Still, it’s important to know how to wear whites in colder temps.  When the thermometer reads forty degrees a white breezy eyelet sundress just doesn’t cut it #spacecadet.  Luxurious cashmere, wool, and thick cotton are winter-ready materials, so wearing them in white will add a streamlined element to your ensemble.  Also, it is important that you keep your experimentation with fabrics, like laces and chiffons, to a minimum unless you are pairing them with something edgy or structured.

Ohh, and speaking of the subject… who can believe it is already September?!! While I live for warm weather and longer days I am so excited for all that we have planned for the fall.  I am itching to make pies, drink pumpkin ale , plant fall flowers, and decorate our home with pumpkins and autumn wreaths.
