I am very excited to announce that today is the first of many collaborations with the always beautiful, Zelle Brown of, A Southern Style blog.  We met several years ago through the Miss North Carolina Scholarship program and today we come together to show you our take on how to style fall blazers.

Fall is my favorite season for many reasons, and dressing for colder temps is certainly one of them #layersonlayers.  However, anyone who lives in North Carolina knows that fall can often seem like the limbo of seasons.  While there is certainly a chill in the air, it’s not quite time to break out your coat collection.  Instead, I opt to layer with blazers and jackets.  Blazers are such a great investment piece because they are professional and polished for the workplace, yet they can be paired with denim for a casual evening out.  Last week I scored this beautiful blazer from Bevello at their fall preview event.  I am a sucker for structure and the blazer is all about it.  The black piping and peplum hem add a unique twist and cool contrast to a traditional white blazer.    I am so excited to pair it with a fun sweater and casual tee like Viva Luxuary has done below.

In the world of blazers there is a new trooper in town: the extra long blazer. To get the full effect the blazer should fall along your upper thigh.  You can purchase one for a great price at Target, who offers them in a variety of neutral colors.  I also love Target’s school boy blazer, which would great overtop a solid colored dress.  If blazers arn’t your thing, than just remember that when dressing for fall weather… layering is key!
